Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Facility Maintenance Manager and in accordance with CSIs general policies, this position is accountable for:
- Maintaining facilities blanket purchase orders.
- Coordinating facilities repair, construction, and demolition work
- Training, auditing, and supervising contractors.
- SPA for SWPP program: Including Quarterly Storm Water Audits
- Negotiating quotes with suppliers and contractors to select most economical materials and methods to meet CSI requirements
- Maintain quality of repairs and facility tasks.
- Maintain appropriate records and reports of work to assure compliance with CSI standards.
- Perform maintenance routines on all buildings, grounds, and facility equipment which the incumbent is qualified and authorized to maintain.
- Applying and upholding strict adherence to timelines, safe work practices, and CSI standards.
- Process, perform, and document facility work requests made by customers.
- Customers include (but are not limited to):
- CSI personnel and contract employees at the North Facility and Glenn St. Warehouse locations.
- Facility/Facilities refers to all buildings and grounds of Crawfordsville CSI North Manufacturing facility and the Glenn St. Warehouse.
- Customers include (but are not limited to):
- Duties range from routine to fairly complex and involve individual planning and reasonable decision making in the performance of these tasks.
- The incumbent plays a key leadership role in promoting safety in the work place and assists in the developing, promoting, and following safe work practices and assuring contractor and supplier compliance with all CSI safety standards.

Qualifications:Educational and Other Skill Requirements:
- Working knowledge and personal experience of maintenance and general construction practices
- A practical understanding of CSI's Contractor Safety Standards with a strong initiative to convey these standards to others.
- Ability to plan, manage, and perform routine to complex repair, construction, and facility projects to completion.
- Specific Areas of Skills Application:

- Construction Processes involves experience and knowledge in: Basic building principles from foundation to completion of project.
- Carpentry: framing, insulating, hang and finishing drywall; suspended ceilings, window & door, carpet, tile, & trim installation; and roofing and painting.
- Concrete & masonry
- Plumbing: general knowledge and skills
- Electrical: run wires, make up connections & install devices, land wires in breaker panels & disconnects, do some buss work, repair fixtures & small hand tools.
- Computer cables: run cables
- Office furniture: assemble and arrange furniture, setup and dismantle partitions.
- Lawn & grounds: operate lawn equipment & chain saw, perform weed control and lawn maintenance when required.
- Licensed mobile equipment operator.
- HVAC: limited experience with A/C, experience with gas furnaces installation & repairs.
- Fill in for janitorial staff when needed.
- Maintain fire protection systems including fire alarm systems and fire extinguishers.
- Maintain security systems operations.
- Maintain any other Facility Maintenance equipment and processes not other wise listed.
- General understanding of building codes.

PPE: ANSI Z41 approved safety shoes, hearing and eye protection as appropriate for work area, gloves according to work task, and other PPE as assigned and required.
