Position Summary
The Director of Quality & Training / RA Supervisor ensures high‑quality resident care, staff development, and regulatory compliance within the CBRF. This hands‑on leader oversees training, coaching, quality assurance, and works alongside caregivers for 20 hours per week as a Resident Assistant. The role collaborates closely with nursing, leadership, and families to support consistent, person‑centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Staff Development
- Lead onboarding and ongoing training for RAs and CNAs.
- Provide hands‑on coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Ensure all training meets state and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct CBRF fire safety and emergency preparedness training.
Quality & Compliance
- Monitor care delivery for regulatory and policy compliance.
- Perform audits, observations, and follow‑up coaching.
- Partner with nursing to align clinical oversight with daily care.
- Identify and implement quality improvement actions.
Care Execution & Floor Leadership
- Work 20 hours weekly as an RA providing direct care.
- Model professionalism, teamwork, and resident‑centered care.
- Support all shifts and assist with ADLs, safety, and engagement.
Coaching & Supervision
- Supervise RAs during assigned shifts.
- Provide real‑time coaching and problem‑solving support.
- Assist with performance management and staffing needs.
- Conduct annual RA performance reviews.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with nursing, leadership, and families.
- Participate in meetings, care planning, and quality initiatives.
Schedule
- Full‑time, salaried
- Typical hours: 10:30am–7pm or mixed AM/PM shifts
- Two weekend shifts per month
- Blend of administrative and direct‑care duties
Qualifications
Required
- 3 years in a CBRF or Skilled Nursing Facility
- Direct resident care experience
- Strong understanding of caregiver workflows
- Ability to coach and mentor entry‑level caregivers
Preferred
- Supervisory or coaching experience
- Training or quality assurance background
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Encouraged Backgrounds
- Experienced RA or CNA (5 years)
- PTA, OTA, or LPN
