Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers
- Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning and sanitation procedures, adhering strictly to safety protocols
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed
- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas
- Ensure facilities are maintained in excellent condition by performing minor repairs or reporting maintenance issues promptly
- Follow safety guidelines during all custodial activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support additional facilities maintenance tasks such as residential painting or industrial cleaning when required
Requirements
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience with knowledge of commercial cleaning standards
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and sanitation tools effectively
- Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with chemical handling safety procedures
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting using safe lifting practices
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed
- Knowledge of safety protocol adherence related to facilities maintenance and chemical handling safety procedures
- Prior experience in industrial cleaning or porter roles is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
