The City of Cave Springs is accepting applications for Public Works Field Technicians. This is an opportunity to develop your career in a small hometown community with dynamic growth. This job is outdoors and includes repair and maintenance of streets, parks and the water and sewer systems.
This is a full-time position that reports to the Public Works Director. The Pay Range is $16.00 to $24.00 per hour. Compensation is commensurate with experience and certifications. This is a career position that provides continuing industry-based education, uniforms and a benefits package with Municipal Health, Vision, Dental and APERS Retirement.
Qualifications
Education:
§ High School or equivalent to a high school diploma, plus three (3) years of experience or combination of additional education and experience.
Other Qualifications:
§ Minimum age: 21 years
§ Valid Arkansas Driver’s License, with good driving record
§ Ability to operate a vehicle safely and with good judgement
§ Ability to observe, report and record information clearly and accurately.
§ Ability to give diagram, written and voice instructions.
§ Skilled in the use of basic and specialized hand tools.
Successful Applicant Must Obtain:
§ Valid Arkansas commercial driver’s license (CDL) with Class B Air Brakes Endorsement
§ Certifications and Trade Licenses as required by Arkansas state law.
§ Ability to locate mains, valves and other utilities.
§ Skills in water sewer and street system maintenance and repair.
§ Knowledge of blueprints and map reading
