New Account Representative
Job Summary:
The New Account Representative collects required information from customers and completes the account set up process in accordance with bank policies and procedures. This process includes data input, verifying documentation, and assisting customers with various account services.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Warmly greets customers.
- Develops, organizes, and maintains files in a confidential manner.
- Enrolling customers and help them understand the various account types, company products, programs, and services.
- Helps customer with online banking and debit cards.
- Establish and maintain a trust-based relationship with customers and prospects.
- Manages risk in every customer interaction to detect fraudulent activity to prevent loss.
- Relieves or assists other new account staff as needed.
- Demonstrates initiative and commitment to continuous learning with the ability to adapt to change.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use professional telephone etiquette.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
- Ability to multitask and manage interruptions politely.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual preferred
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum age 18
- Experience in a public office or bank setting preferred.
- Complete and pass all required training courses as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
