Position Summary:
The Intake Specialist Intern would support the intake process for women and children seeking services at Laura's Home. This role provides hands-on experience in social services, trauma-informed care, and crisis response.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None.
Essential Job Functions:
• Assist with phone screenings for individuals on the waitlist to gather data and connect with resources as available/as needed.
• Assist with intake meetings: including completing intake assessments, gathering documentation, entering data into the case management system, helping coordinate immediate needs such as basic resources and referrals.
• Provide support in data entry as well as interdepartmental communication.
• Assist in special project assignments as needed.
