What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN UNIT MANAGER position at The Citadel at Kingsbridge Rehabilitation & Nursing Center?
SUMMARY:
​Responsible for overseeing day to day patient care, supervising, directing and developing nurse staff to ensure quality patient care within skilled nursing facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilizing expertise in the leadership role as a manager of an assigned unit
- Collaborating with the Director of Nursing in maintaining adequate Nursing coverage to provide safe Nursing care for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Developing, implementing and evaluating protocols/standards of assigned unit while following the proper approval channels
- Assessing the work performance of Nursing personnel
- Assuming Nursing administrative responsibilities of the Center for weekend and holiday coverage as requested
REQUIREMENTS:
- New York RN license
- Up-to-date physical assessment skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles
- 1 year experience in leadership (i.e., Head Nurse, Supervisor, Unit Manger etc.)
- CPR certification
Salary : $38 - $40
