Position Overview
The Baker will be responsible for preparing a variety of house-made desserts that complement our chophouse menu. This role requires attention to detail, strong baking skills, and the ability to maintain quality and efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a range of desserts (cakes, pies, cheesecakes, breads, and specialty items)
- Follow and maintain standardized recipes while ensuring consistent quality
- Assist in developing new dessert features and seasonal offerings
- Manage prep lists, inventory, and ingredient ordering for the pastry station
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Qualifications
- Previous baking or pastry experience preferred (restaurant experience a plus)
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
