The Choice, Inc. is a boutique staffing firm that has been in business for more than 40 years. Our clients include many of the most sought-after non-profits in Washington, DC. We are seeking an HR Operations Coordinator for our internal team.
We place professionals in temporary, temporary-to-hire, and direct hire positions every week with our clients. This role will provide critical support to our recruitment and staffing processes.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in growing in the field of HR. You will learn many functions of HR including onboarding, payroll, benefits, and HR administration.

Required Qualifications:
- At least one year of professional experience- administrative, operations or HR professional experience is highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree
- Highly organized with strong project management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong computer skills. Previous database/CRM/HRIS experience a plus!
Job Duties:
HR Administration:
- Onboard and provide virtual orientation to contractors
- Perform background checks, E-Verify, and support reference check process
- Manage contractor leave requests and approvals
- Oversee and manage weekly timesheet process for both clients and contractors; run payroll on a weekly basis.
- Generate and send invoices to clients on a weekly basis
- Help manage the weekly A/R process
- Work with our insurance broker to manage our contractor and internal staff benefits and oversee our annual open enrollment program
- Assist the President with running reports and keeping an up-to-date roster of all current contractors
- Assist with managing the various state accounts for taxes and worker’s compensation
- Ensure compliance with FMLA and documentation of exemptions for non-profits
Operations:
- Ordering office supplies, as needed
- Monitoring incoming phone calls for the company and responding to messages
- Updating internal documents as needed
- Manage operational projects for the company
