Role Description The Associate Attorney will support the firm’s business and employment law practice through legal research, drafting, and client counseling. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing contracts and employment-related documents, analyzing workplace policies, and assisting with litigation and dispute resolution matters. The role involves providing clear legal advice to business clients, participating in negotiations, and collaborating with senior attorneys on strategy and case management.
This is a full-time position based in Morristown, NJ, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows for a combination of in-office and work-from-home days. The Associate Attorney will engage directly with clients, help manage ongoing matters, and contribute to the firm’s reputation for practical, business-focused legal solutions.
Qualifications
- Membership to NJ Bar a must; NY Bar a plus
- General Litigation: Minimum 5 years (Required)
- Ability to successfully handle litigation matters with limited supervision
- Established litigation skills such as taking and defending depositions, trial prep as well as oral advocacy
- Drafting, Preparing, & Formatting Motions, Pleadings, Discovery Demands and Responses
- Legal Research and Writing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Communicating with Clients, Court Staff, Expert Witnesses, and Opposing Counsel
- Appearing in Court to Argue Motions, Attend Status Conferences, Assist with Other Proceedings
- Must be self-motivated, a hard worker, and a strong communicator with networking capabilities•Strong professional judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proactiveness, resourcefulness, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and multi-task required
