Work schedule will be Full-time on the Evening Night Shift, 7:30pm-8:00am.
Summary:
Provides healthcare services utilizing CT imaging technology to assist in the medical diagnosis. Completes CT procedures in accordance with established protocols, producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to the medical ethics. Provides patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. As a CT technologist you must carry out specific responsibilities of your job, plus vision of the hospital – A BETTER CHILDHOOD FOR ALL CHILDREN. To accomplish the overall hospital mission you must exhibit integrity, teamwork, innovation, commitment to personal development, and the commitment to children. CT is an imaging modality that uses x-rays to produce cross-sectional images. The CT team at Children’s of Alabama is where your expertise can make a profound difference. Using state-ofthe-art low-dose CT technology, you’ll perform essential scans to assist in diagnosing and treating of a wide range of pediatric conditions. You’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on safety, precision, and minimizing radiation exposure for our young patients. The CT suite works closely with the Anesthesia department and child life specialists to provide the Ambient Experience. This helps to reduce patient anxiety.
