What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary student support teams, educators, and leadership to design and implement individualized strategies that promote student success and remove barriers to learning.
- Assess student needs by reviewing academic and behavioral records, conducting parent/guardian interviews, and analyzing socio-developmental and environmental factors to inform targeted interventions.
- Deliver comprehensive individual and group counseling services aligned with IEP goals, supporting students’ social-emotional growth, behavioral development, and overall well-being.
- Facilitate restorative practices, including daily circles and conferences, to build community, resolve conflict, repair harm, and strengthen student accountability and relationships.
- Lead and participate in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) and Manifestation meetings, contributing data-driven insights, written reports, and actionable recommendations.
- Develop and implement attendance and intervention plans by engaging students and families, addressing root causes, and promoting consistent school engagement.
- Partner with families and community agencies through ongoing communication, home visits, and resource coordination to ensure holistic student support beyond the classroom.
- Monitor student progress by maintaining IEP compliance, preparing timely reports, and co-analyzing data related to social-emotional, behavioral, and attendance outcomes.
- Strengthen school culture by contributing to PBIS/PBL initiatives, delivering professional development, and fostering an inclusive, relationship-centered environment where all students feel valued and supported.
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- At least 6 graduate-level credits in education
- Completion of a supervised school-based practicum (minimum 400 hours)
- Valid Connecticut School Social Worker certification (071 endorsement required)
Pay: 60,000- 80,000K
Expected hours of work: 37.5 per week
