The Child and Family Guidance Center is currently seeking a full time Supervisor in our Mobile Crisis Intervention Services group.
The MCIS Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality, mobile crisis intervention services to children and families experiencing psychiatric emergencies. This position combines clinical oversight, staff supervision, and direct service responsibilities, including providing mobile assessments, short-term interventions, and postvention support. The Supervisor ensures compliance and quality through regular documentation review, facilitates team development through supervision and training, and serves as a liaison with agency leadership and community partners.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following Essential Functions:
- Provide weekly clinical supervision to full-time and part-time clinicians, as well as non-clinical staff and interns (as applicable).
- Oversee training and onboarding of new staff as needed.
- Monitor staff clinical documentation through regular chart reviews to ensure compliance and quality.
- Provide On-Call telephone support for staff outside of office hours.
- Participate in and/or facilitate weekly MCIS team meetings.
- Serve as a proxy for the Regional Program Director in attending important meetings.
- Accept assignments or other tasks by the Regional Program Director, Unit Director, or CEO of The Child & Family Guidance Center.
- Model appropriate fidelity to the program expectations for other team members.
- Model integrity and ethical behavior for program staff.
- Provide clinical and/or general support to team members in need.
- Provide mobile clinical assessments and treatment of children who are in a psychiatric crisis.
- Screen crisis referrals over the phone and provide an appropriate clinical response.
- Collaboratively complete crisis assessments and individualized crisis plans with the youth and family.
- Provide brief short-term intervention to youth and families as needed.
- Collaborate with community providers and other social systems involved in the development of appropriate intervention and care for the child and family.
- Participate in Community Outreach initiatives.
- Provide on-call mobile coverage which includes monthly and holiday shifts.
- Assist in postvention support for communities in crisis

Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut State License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW)
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Minimum of 2 years post-graduate clinical experience working with children and families
- Experience providing clinical supervision to master’s-level clinicians (preferred)
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Reliable access to a registered vehicle for work-related travel
- Able to work in an unstructured environment under pressure with intense emotional situations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others while meeting deadlines
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
