What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUMMER CAMP - Group Leader position at THE CHILD CENTER OF NY?
The Group Leader is responsible for setting goals for program participants, facilitating activities, and preparing curriculum and lesson plans. The group leader maintains a safe and learning environment for program participants.
Dates:
- Orientation and Training = June 28th, 2021 - July 2nd, 2021
- Summer Camp = July 6th, 2021 - August 12th, 2021*
- *This role can transition in to the 2021-2022 school year if desired.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing summer camp support, facilitating activities and supervising children in programs during summer camp hours.
- Supervise and monitor children and take daily attendance.
- Manage and document behavior.
- Lesson planing.
- Maintain supplies.
- Assist and maintain in data collection and upkeep of participants documents.
- Attend all necessary program meetings and trainings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- High School diploma or equivalency.
- 1 year of experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
- Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and multi-task.
Required Schedule:
5 weekdays from 11am - 4:30pm
Salary : $16 - $18
