We are currently looking for a Full Time Mental Health Trainer to join our Area of Services and Support team located at the Purcell Outpatient Services.

Summary:

Provides educational trainings centered on mental health and family wellness topics for Chickasaw Nation employees. Develops training material and curriculums to educate and train the Chickasaw Nation workforce on identifying common symptoms and behaviors associated with mental health and family problems with an understanding of the impact on work performance and productivity when these issues are or are not addressed. Accurately documents number of trainings provided and persons served through accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides 20 hours a week of direct services through the facilitation of trainings on mental health and related areas
  • Provides 20 hours per week of non-direct services through the development of trainings, travel and proper documentation of trainings delivered
  • Maintains and updates the relationship enhancement training (RET) curriculum and coordinates delivery of RET for all RET facilitators within the division
  • Collaborates with the Division of Training and Career Development to ensure for standardization and effective delivery of all trainings provided
  • Develops an organized training schedule that includes easy accessibility for employees working at various worksites, such as Riverwind and WinStar casinos
  • Uses My Chickasaw University to post training opportunities, prepare reports and track attendance to reconcile class rosters
  • Develops specialized trainings at the request of other Chickasaw Nation employees or programs to educate staff on specialized topics, such as symptoms of depression, grief, healthy decision-making, etc.
  • Provides consultations about mental health or family wellness topics and provides recommendations to employees, such as seeking treatment
  • Assists in ongoing initiatives to build and maintain referrals for Strong Foundation
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations, handouts, and all other necessary items for team development and workforce development events
  • Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
  • Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
  • Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
  • Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment
  • Maintains and promotes professionalism
  • Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
  • Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
  • Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

  • Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management
  • Ability to address large groups through presentations and/or speeches


Skills:
Essential:
  • Skilled at presenting information in front of groups at all levels of hierarchy

Experience:
Essential:
  • 2 years directly related experience


Education:
Essential:
  • Masters Degree in directly related field

Nonessential:
  • Doctorate Degree in directly related field

Training
