What are the responsibilities and job description for the DMEPOS Department Manager position at the Chickasaw Nation?
We are currently looking for a Full Time DMEPOS Department Manager to join our DMEPOS Department Team team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center.
Summary:
The purpose of this position is to serve as the manager for the operation and service activities within the durable medical equipment department.
Responsibilities:
- Assists the director in the development and updating of DMEPOS policy and procedures
- Coordinates and manages the daily work operations of the DMEPOS staff
- Interacts with the medical and nursing staff as well as with other departments
- Provides DMEPOS information and in-service education to Medical, Dental, and Nursing staff on an as needed basis to further understanding of DMEPOS equipment and operations
- Promotes a corporate culture of high moral and ethical business practice
- Complies with all applicable state, federal, and local laws as well as the policies and procedures of the Chickasaw Nation Department of Health
- Serves as the subject matter expert for DMEPOS for multiple cross functional teams executing on the program
- Oversees day to day operations of the DMEPOS department and all that entails including but not limited to: answering incoming calls from patients, doctors, nurses and other customers; scheduling staff, scheduling orders and new equipment request, etc
- Contributes to the Chickasaw Nation Department of Health’s culture of continuous performance improvement
- Compiles and reports all necessary billing data, including charge entry, payments and A/R management
- Serves as the recruiter and staffing point of contact for the DMEPOS department
- Works with other teams to develop marketing and business development of the DMEPOS department
- Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
