What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender/Server position at The Chef’s Grille?

The right candidate will have the desire to have 'ownership' of their job and take pride in their work. A self-starter who is intelligent, mature, responsible, and drama-free. Full availability is desired, and needless to say, full table service as bar experience is required!
You will be expected to prepare both classic and innovative craft cocktails and have a knowledge of beer and wine.
Pay: $16.00 an hour tips!!
Responsibilities include:
- Interact with customers courteously and charismatically, assessing patrons' needs and preferences as well as able to make thoughtful beverage and food recommendations
- Prepare and create unique craft cocktails keeping up with latest trends and techniques as well as full knowledge of classically inspired cocktails and the signature cocktails of The Chef’s Grille
- Exceptional time management while managing orders as well as side-work and other shift duties keeping up with trends and techniques
- Properly serve and speak knowledgeably with respect to a wide range of cocktails and food preparations
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Full-service serving for both tables and bar top, including – but not limited to – table service, serving/running food, and bussing
- Perform both opening and/or closing bar and shift duties including preparing handmade syrups, bitters, citrus juices, etc.
Job requirements include:
- MINIMUM TWO year of CRAFT COCKTAIL experience
- MINIMUM TWO years of SERVER experience
- Work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Team-driven
- Eager to support team and customers
- Reliable
- Sense of pride of both self and The Chef’s Grille
- Develop new ideas and promotions
- Great attention to detail
- Maintain professional appearance on both sides of the bar
- Riverside County Food Handler's card required.
- Pass a background check
