Position:       Teacher of Students with Disabilities

Program:       Kaleidoscope Early Intervention Program

Work Hours: Monday - Friday As assigned

Qualifications:

• NJ Certified Teacher of the Handicapped
• At least one year experience in an Early Childhood Center or Early Intervention
• Experience working with children with developmental disabilities

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, transfer, move, handle children.

Overall Description:

• Provide high quality, age appropriate instruction as assigned.
• Implementation of an Individualized Family Service Plan that meets the cognitive, social and developmental needs of all students.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and safeguard each family/child’s right to privacy, respect and confidentiality.
• Implement Individualized Family Service Plan goals and objectives by creating lessons that are stimulating, high quality, and age appropriate.
• Maintain all required paperwork including visitation log, progress notes and time sheets.
• Attend and participate in conferences and workshops to document professional growth and development.
• Maintain knowledge of trends, directions and changes within the area of Early Intervention Services
• Perform additional related duties as requested by the Principal.
