Teacher of Students with Disabilities/Teacher of the Handicapped

Hawkswood School is growing!  We are searching for dynamic teachers to join our community for the 2026-2027 school year (starting in July).

Hawkswood School is a private school in Eatontown, New Jersey, approved by the State of New Jersey to provide special education services and supports to students on the autism spectrum and to students with multiple disabilities, ages 3 to 21. We are committed to empowering students with disabilities to be self-expressed, self-directed and contributing members of their families and communities.

Position Qualifications:

· Minimum of a Bachelor's degree

· Must possess or be eligible for NJ Department of Education certification as:

Teacher of the Handicapped OR Teacher of Students with Disabilities plus Elementary K-6 certifications.

Certifications in subject matter specialization are also welcome.

Previous experience with the multiply disabled and/or autism population is preferred.
