Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivilant
- Valid NJ Commercial Drivers License (CDL) in good standing, Class B
Work Hours: As Assigned Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift, transfer, move, assist participants (minimum of 40 pounds).
- Ability to maneuver and tie down wheelchairs.
- May be required to provide direct support services inside a CPL facility or as assigned in a community setting.
Overall Description:
- To safely transport all Participants, as assigned, in accordance with all CPL policies and DMV regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and safeguard each family/participant’s right to privacy, respect and confidentiality.
- Ensure vehicle is in safe running order at all times.
- Comply with all protocols as stated in the CPL Transportation Handbook.
- Ensure safe pickup and drop-off of each participant.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
- Accurately maintain mileage logs of the assigned vehicle.
- Oversee the Driver Assistant to the assure safety and proper care of all assigned participants.
- Assist participants in program areas as directed.
Salary : $20 - $28
