- Participate in Security briefing before each event
- Monitor and report from assignment area
- Communicate all security/crowd issues to Security Supervisor or Manager on Duty
- Providing an outstanding customer experience by answering general facility and program questions, monitoring building reservations, directing members and guests to proper locations, educating patrons on building policies
- Enforce policies and standards for the entire facility that are set forth by the department.
- Serve as primary organizer in risk management situations to ensure all staff members are performing their responsibilities properly
- Respond to all medical and non-medical emergencies
- Ensure that all risk management measures have been taken
- Continually monitor all facility activity and program areas
- Responsible for cleanliness and organization of entire facility
- Attend all staff meetings, monthly meetings and communicate as needed through emails, group messaging, telephone, and email
- Assist in set up and break down duties as assigned
- Follow and adhere to all procedures and guidelines
- Other duties as required
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
- Authoritative verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
- Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings
- Security guard training certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills including active listening
- Basic knowledge of computer skills with the ability to learn new software
- Ability and willingness to enforce policies
- Must be able to discuss, converse with, and exchange accurate information with patrons, staff, stakeholders, etc.
- Office and events environment

- Moderate to loud noise
- Maintain flexible hours for events that occur on weekends and evenings
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 70% of the work day
- Walking or working events
- Must be able to traverse throughout the center
- Must be able to lift, move and set up items weighing as much as 50 lbs.
- Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly
- Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary
