What are the responsibilities and job description for the Afterschool and In-Home Program Interventionist - 3-7pm position at The Center School?
The Positive Regard Network invites applicants for the position of AfterSchool Program Staff and In Home Program Interventionist Staff, providing services to children from ages 3 to 18 with Autism Spectrum Disorders in Western Massachusetts. This includes programs which currently are located in Longmeadow and Holyoke, as well as home-based programming options in Hampden and Hampshire counties.
We provide in-home, center-based and community-based ABA services funded through health insurance. Through ongoing assessment and communication, we collaborate with families to identify appropriate goals that build socially significant behavior and are individualized to each client and their family. We use standard behavioral assessments such as Functional Behavioral Assessment/Analysis, the IISCA, the VB-MAPP (Verbal Behavior Milestones and Placement Program), PEAK, the ABLLS and the AFLS.
Positions are per diem, up to 20 hours per week, working flexible hours between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, as well as the possibility of weekend, daytime hours as well. In addition to a competitive hourly wage, we also offer accrued Earned Sick Time with the per diem positions.
Qualifications: All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Experience working and specialized training with ABA services are strongly preferred, as is experience working in the therapeutic milieu or educational setting. Some positions require experience with an early childhood population.
In addition to Interventionist staff, we are also seeking applicants with RBT certification, as well as Masters’ level BCBA-certified staff.
Interventionist Position Responsibilities:
Provides teaching/learning procedures for managing both antecedent and consequent conditions in addition to treatment plan goals and BSPs.
Additional instruction and supervision in implementation of instructional/behavioral procedures, as well as data collection and management, preparation of teaching/learning materials and other behavioral support materials.
NOTE: Applicants who are given an offer of employment will be subject to background screening in MA and CT: CORI, SORI, DCF and fingerprinting.
Pay Range:
- Interventionists that do not have workkeys/parapro/48 or more college credits $16.50-$19.00 an hour
- Interventionists with degree $19-24 an hour
