What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Associate (FT, PT) position at The Center for Discovery?
Provides individualized instruction and a comprehensive education program for students. To assist the teacher to provide recommended protocols and techniques to support a comprehensive education program for students.
As a Teacher Associate, you will be responsible for facilitating instructional and therapeutic interventions for students between the ages of 5-21 with complex conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder and other medical comorbidities. The individualized daily routines are designed and supported by teachers and clinicians to meet the sensory, behavioral, and cognitive challenges the students present with. Our beautiful, wooded campus provides motivating outdoor learning environments as well as beautiful classrooms for students to practice critical academic and meaningful social skills throughout their school day. In addition to providing helpful instructional support, you will assist with personal care, meal preparation, and other reasonably related duties as assigned by the teacher.
