The Center for Discovery is seeking a Patient Services Representative to support the daily operations of Discovery Health Center. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming, patient-centered environment while coordinating appointments, supporting clinical teams, and ensuring a positive experience for patients and families.
The Patient Services Representative supports a variety of services, including Clinical, Durable Medical Equipment (DME), Early Intervention (EI), and Mental Health programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals.
- Register patients and maintain accurate demographic, insurance, and medical record information.
- Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations and consents, and assist with billing-related tasks.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming calls, patient inquiries, families, and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with providers, nursing staff, care managers, and interdisciplinary teams to support coordinated care.
- Document communications accurately and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
- Support daily clinic operations, including office organization, inventory, supply management, and administrative tasks.
- Deliver professional, compassionate, and patient-centered customer service while promoting a safe, welcoming, and organized environment.
