What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Records Assistant position at The Center at Cordera?
The Medical Record Assistant will support the Medical Record Director with a variety of tasks including collecting patient information, issuing medical files, filing/uploading medical records, and processing patient admissions and discharge papers, and departmental audits. Ensure medical records are complete, accurate and maintained in a manner compliance with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements of the medical services system. Process KEPRO appeals in a timely manner. Assist with medical professional credentialing. Additionally the Medical Records Assistant will provide coverage for the front desk and other duties as assigned.
Specific Requirements:
6 months experience working with EMR. The ideal candidate has some Medical Records experience, specifically with the EMR platform Point Click Care.
Excellent computer skills is a must
Proficient in computer programs, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and Outlook
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
