Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible person to join the culinary team at The Cellar! The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role is essential in delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that every dish meets our standards of excellence. Experience in made from scratch/busy restaurants is highly desirable, as we aim to provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during meal preparation.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Be able to know and retain garnishes and plating details.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a kitchen or similar role in a culinary environment.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, including dietary department standards.
- Ability to read/follow recipes successfully.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency with various kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
