We specialize in elevated food, detailed presentation, professional service, and memorable guest experiences. Our kitchen supports both our cafe operations and our catering/event production, so we are looking for culinary professionals who understand quality, consistency, urgency, and presentation.
We are seeking an experienced Culinary Production Specialist (Line Cook) to join our growing culinary team. This position is ideal for someone who has strong kitchen experience, understands scratch cooking, and has previous catering experience.
Position Summary
The Culinary Production Specialist is responsible for preparing, cooking, plating, and supporting food production for daily cafe service, catering orders, private events, and high-end culinary experiences. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow recipes and production timelines, and a strong understanding of food quality, sanitation, and presentation.
Because we are a scratch kitchen with high-end catering standards, this role requires someone who can execute food consistently, work cleanly, move with purpose, and support both kitchen production and event preparation.
Catering experience is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes, standards, and presentation expectations.
Execute scratch-made recipes with consistency, accuracy, and care.
ServSafe or food handler certification preferred.
Assist with daily cafe food production, catering prep, event production, and special orders.
Set up, stock, and maintain assigned kitchen stations before and during service.
Follow prep lists, production schedules, event timelines, and instructions from kitchen leadership.
Support high-end catering production, including bulk prep, packaging, labeling, organizing, and staging food for events.
Maintain quality control with taste, texture, portioning, temperature, and appearance.
Assist with food preparation for proteins, vegetables, sauces, sides, salads, desserts, and other menu items as needed.
Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining cleanliness and professionalism.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, cooling, labeling, storage, and handling procedures.
Keep workstations, equipment, refrigeration, prep areas, and kitchen spaces clean and organized.
Communicate with leadership regarding inventory needs, low stock, equipment issues, prep needs, or production concerns.
Assist with receiving, stocking, organizing, cleaning, dishwashing, and general kitchen duties as needed.
Break down and clean stations properly at the end of each shift.
Represent the brand with professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.
Required Qualifications
Previous catering experience is required.
Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, banquet cook, catering cook, production cook, or similar kitchen role required.
Experience in a scratch kitchen preferred.
Ability to follow recipes, prep sheets, production timelines, and plating standards.
Strong attention to detail and presentation.
Basic knife skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment.
Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, labeling, storage, and temperature control.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with urgency and accuracy.
Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.
Must be able to take direction and work well as part of a team.
Must be available Thursday through Sunday, with flexibility for catering and event schedules.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with high-end catering, private events, weddings, corporate events, or banquet production.
Experience with bulk food production and event prep.
Experience with plating, garnishing, and elevated food presentation.
Experience working from prep lists and production sheets.

Work Environment
This position works in a commercial kitchen environment and may support both cafe service and off-site catering production. The role may include standing for long periods, lifting, bending, carrying, working around hot equipment, and handling multiple tasks during busy service or event production periods.
Schedule
Availability is required during business operating days and hours:
Thursday–Saturday: 10:00 AM–7:00 PM
Sunday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Additional catering, prep, and event hours may be required based on bookings and production needs.
