Life Enrichment Coordinator – Assisted Living

About the Role

As a Life Enrichment Coordinator at The Cedars , you will create engaging experiences that enrich the daily lives of older adults in our Assisted Living community. You will design programs that support physical wellness, mental stimulation, and social connection , including group exercises, arts & crafts, games, relaxation, spiritual activities, and special events.

You will also connect personally with residents, addressing their social and emotional needs through both planned activities and spontaneous moments of care. Your creativity, compassion, and energy will help residents maintain independence, build friendships, and feel confident participating in community life. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working with seniors and making a meaningful impact.

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with daily activities: exercise, games, arts & crafts, relaxation, and spiritual programs
• Foster residents’ social and emotional wellbeing through planned and spontaneous activities
• Build interpersonal relationships and promote confidence in group participation
• Share personal talents and interests with residents
• Support resident visits and assist staff with mealtime as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in activity coordination or senior engagement programs
• Experience working with seniors in assisted living or long-term care settings
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects professionally
