Job Summary
The Cedars is hiring a Per Diem Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards throughout resident rooms and common areas. This role is responsible for ensuring a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors in a healthcare/residential setting.
Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, and disinfect resident rooms and common areas
- Follow established cleaning procedures, infection control standards, and safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, and shared spaces
- Remove trash, replace linens, and restock supplies as needed
- Respond to assigned cleaning tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure compliance with facility cleanliness and safety standards
- Report maintenance or safety concerns as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
- Strong communication skills; ability to read and write in English
- Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic
- Healthcare housekeeping or long-term care facility experience
- Customer service experience in a resident-facing environment
- Experience with cleaning chemicals and safety practices
