The Atrium, our independent living community at The Cedars, is seeking a dependable and flexible Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role includes a consistent weekend schedule, along with the ability to pick up additional shifts to support staffing needs.
As the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff, the receptionist plays a key role in creating a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment for older adults.
Key Responsibilities

Schedule
- Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday), 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Must have flexibility to pick up additional shifts, including evenings and holidays, as needed

As the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff, the receptionist plays a key role in creating a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment for older adults.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet residents, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls
- Provide administrative and clerical support
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- Send and receive faxes
- Photocopy and organize documents
- Process payments for meals and salon services
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
- Perform additional office duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of front desk or receptionist experience
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills: familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred
- Flexible availability and willingness to pick up additional shifts on short notice
- Interest in working with older adults and supporting their independence
- Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings
