Pay for this role starts at $75,000 annually (or more, based on experience).

Summary/Objective

The Assistant Facilities Manager oversees the upkeep of all physical facilities and apartments.

• Supervise the performance of all turnover staff; control quality, efficiency and professionalism.
• Review, counsel & document turnover staff performance in accordance with company policy.
• Inspection of all turnover units and occupied units as necessary.
• Perform move-out inspections and submit billable items for processing on the SODA in accordance with established procedures and the VRLTA. Billable items are 100% supported.
• Identifies work needed in turnover units and determines and assigns make-ready and contractor schedules.
• Assures turnover supplies & parts are available or ordered.
• Completes all turnover paperwork, i.e. unit description, move-in/move-out inspection sheets, etc.
• Works closely with Marketing Manager to ensure market demand and turnover schedules are met.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Professional, courteous and positive personality
• Knowledge of apartment facilities management normally acquired by supervisory experience in facilities and or property management including one year on-site facilities management experience.
• EPA Certification for CFC’s
• Management & Supervisory duties
• Plumbing and electrical experience
  
  

Supervisory Responsibility

• Supervise the performance of all maintenance services, control quality, efficiency and professionalism (daily).
• Oversee the operations of the Parts Department.
• Plan for and oversee departmental growth.
  
  

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm; weekend work required. On-call emergency pager rotation required.

Travel

Local travel is required. Driver’s license and personal vehicle required.

Required Education And Experience

• High School diploma plus 3 years of apartment maintenance experience
• EPA Certification for CFC’s
  
  

Preferred Education And Experience

• Supervisory Experience.
• CPO Certification a plus
