What are the responsibilities and job description for the Primary Grades Teacher - Christ the King position at The Catholic Diocese of St. Petersburg?
Christ the King Catholic School is seeking a full-time Primary Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This teacher would be eligible to teach in either Pre-K, Kindergarten, or 1st grade and have experience working with children at this age. Candidates should be able to fulfill the following essential duties and responsibilities:

Job Duties
Create/revise unit plans with current standards, aligned assessments, differentiated learning activities, technology integration and Catholic values infusion
Enthusiastically deliver lessons that provide students with knowledge, understanding, and skills to become creative, reflective, literate, critical, and moral citizens
Prepare students to become expert users of technology who can create, publish, and critique digital products
Use schoolwide and classroom data to reflect on student understanding of the standards, content, process, and products of the curriculum
Administer a variety of assessments for student learning that are formative, summative, authentic, project-based, and/or reflective
Provide students with feedback that aligns to learning goals and impacts student achievement
Use common assessments and rubrics to evaluate the quality of student work
Collaborate with other faculty members in professional learning communities and grade level teams to monitor individual, classroom, and schoolwide learning/behavior
Ideal candidates should have experience in a classroom setting or a degree in education and possess strong collaboration and communication skills. This position includes full benefits, with the salary dependent on experience. All candidates must pass a Level II background screening before employment.
