Job Purpose

You’ll support continuous improvement by baselining current performance, analyzing root causes, and validating post‑improvement results. This position reports to the R&D Manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Working on the Design To The Target- DTTT project. The project goal is to improve specification accuracy and understanding process variation.
- Map tire component characteristics (e.g., thickness, width, mass, durometer hardness, cord EPI/angle) and identify key sources of variation across processes.
- MSA-Measuring system analysis may be conducted before data collection.
- Prepare reports and data summaries to support tire specification design and continuous improvement activities.
- Assist in identifying the areas for improvement within manufacturing and engineering workflows.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret the data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Support tire specifications under guidance of the R&D team.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities using structured problem-solving tools.
Education & Experience
Required
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, or related discipline)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
- Experience with Minitab or similar statistical software Experience
- Exposure to quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, and Pareto Analysis
- Strong communicator with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Flexible, driven, and eager to learn in a manufacturing engineering environment
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying improvement opportunities
- Office and manufacturing floor environment with hands-on exposure to production processes
- Collaborative, team-oriented setting with mentorship from experienced engineers and quality professionals
