Summary
Reviews Residential loan applications submitted by the Underwriters to determine an appropriate loan decision has been made and that all supporting documentation is present in the loan file for portfolio loan products. Audits and analyzes mortgage loans to determine if Bank/regulatory guidelines are met.
Obtains, reviews, and maintains all required documentation prior to closing. Maintains a thorough knowledge of Bank policies; Federal and State compliance regulations. Adheres to the Bank’s Quality Control plan and has an understanding of its elements.

- Adheres to the Bank’s Quality Control plan and has an understanding of its elements.
- Ensures a smooth and uninterrupted process of properly documented loan fulfillment within strict time constraints.
- Provides immediate feedback to appropriate employees and managers regarding reviews of loans; assists in problem solving and interacts with customers to ensure accuracy of applications.
- Recommends and implements adjustments to procedures as part of continuous improvement efforts.
- Provides recommendations and suggestions to create efficiencies within the department.
- Maintains strict confidentiality standards and discretionary verification practices.
- Performs employment verifications prior to closing.
- Prepares documents for closing as necessary.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years banking or financial services experience
- Ability to understand and interpret regulations
- Prior experience in pre-closing and closings, loan servicing operations, and/or consumer loans preferred
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in a deadline intensive environment
- Must have cyber security awareness to protect the digital environment, the Bank, and customers
