SUMMARY:
The Facilities Generalist I is to support the upkeep and general maintenance of our facilities. This role is well-suited for individuals with foundational experience in property maintenance who possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall functionality and appearance of our banking locations by assisting with a variety of tasks related to repairs, upkeep, and facility organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with painting, surface patching, and minor drywall repairs as needed throughout the facility
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and report findings appropriately
- Support basic troubleshooting and upkeep of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components
- Replace damaged ceiling tiles and install emergency lighting equipment as directed
- Cut and install various flooring materials and ceiling tiles with precision
- Perform light electrical tasks such as replacing batteries in devices and button panels
- Participate in general facility turnover efforts, preparing interior spaces for use
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply closets, maintenance areas, and storage rooms
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and organizational standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- 1 year of general maintenance, facilities support, or related experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and building systems
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, use ladders, and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
