What are the responsibilities and job description for the MATERIAL HANDLING LEAD position at The Caldwell Group Inc?
Job Duties:
- Oversees all kitting, MOVE and STAGE work centers on the work center priority report. Assigns work and re-prioritizes, as needed to meet schedule requirements.
- Kits stock and/or sales order jobs from the work center priority list based on what is ready to be kitted.
- Routes kitted jobs to their designated staging areas.
- Routes kitted jobs to various departments based on the order at which the welding foreman puts those jobs.
- Picks up all green tagged parts and takes them to the designated paint staging area (OSV paint or inside paint, as specified on the traveller.
- Manufacturing receipts stock parts into inventory.
- Maintains all work centers in the material handling department.
- Manages all in/out boxes.
- Demonstrates the Caldwell Company Values in all work activities.
- Complies with all safety requirements and maintains a clean and clean and safe work environment. Reports defective tools and equipment.
- Establish and conduct stand up meeting (daily, weekly, etc.)
Minimum Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Work Experience:
- Three years of material handling experience in a manufacturing setting.
- One year of supervisory or team lead experience preferred
- Three years of forklift experience.
- Three years of overhead crane experience.
Minimum Skill Requirements:
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proven ability to read a tape measure.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use a computer to locate parts, track jobs, and communicate.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles or fumes. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Must be able to tolerate seasonal hot and cold conditions.
Salary : $20 - $30
