Bakery Cashier / Customer Service
The Cake Factory – Lakeview Bakery is looking for a friendly, reliable Cashier / Customer Service team member to join our retail bakery in Clifton, NJ.
You will greet customers, take orders, answer the phone, process payments, package bakery items, and help keep the front counter clean, organized, and welcoming. We are looking for someone dependable who enjoys working with people in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service
- Take bakery orders in person and by phone
- Operate the cash register and handle payments accurately
- Answer customer questions about bakery products
- Package cakes, pastries, bread, cookies, and other items carefully
- Keep the display area, counter, and front of the bakery clean and organized
- Restock bakery boxes, bags, napkins, and products as needed
- Assist the bakery team during busy hours
Qualifications
- Friendly, responsible, and reliable
- Comfortable working with customers and handling money
- Good communication and phone skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced bakery environment
- Able to work early morning and/or afternoon shifts
- Previous cashier, bakery, restaurant, or customer-service experience is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Schedule Available
Morning shift:
Monday–Thursday: 5:00 AM–10:00 AM
Friday & Saturday: 5:00 AM–12:00 PM
Afternoon shift:
Monday–Sunday, with 1–2 days off
