Role Objective / SummaryWe’re hiring a Barista who can grow into a Shift Lead / Keyholder role. This is for someone who sets the standard on shift: guest service, cleanliness, speed, and dependable coverage. You’ll start by mastering barista responsibilities, then gradually take on opening/closing routines, checklist ownership, and day-to-day shift flow support.Key ResponsibilitiesShift Standards & Guest ExperienceLead by example in service, speed, and drink consistencyKeep the team aligned during rushes; communicate clearly and respectfullySupport issue resolution (within guidelines) and escalate when neededOpening / Closing & Operations (trained step-by-step)Assist with opening/closing checklists and shift setup/transitionMaintain station readiness: par levels, stocking, and reset standardsHelp ensure POS accuracy and smooth line flowCleanliness & Food Safety (Non-Negotiable)Enforce “clean as you go” and checklist completionMaintain sanitary conditions across bar, FOH, and shared areasConfirm tools/equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and stored properlyReliability & Coverage (Critical for This Role)Strong attendance record; proactive communicationBroad availability preferred and willingness to cover shifts when needed to prevent “holes” in the scheduleQualifications1 year café/food retail experience preferredPrior lead/keyholder/supervisor experience strongly preferredHigh standards in cleanliness, professionalism, and communicationAvailability: weekends open/close flexibility strongly preferredFood Handler Card required (must have or obtain promptly)
