Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role based in Atlanta, GA (Vinings area). The CFO will lead the company’s financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, and compliance.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a build-oriented, founder-led environment. The CFO will be responsible for strengthening financial infrastructure, improving cash flow visibility, and driving consistency in financial practices across a multi-state, multi-site business.
Responsibilities include overseeing the monthly close process, managing financial reporting and controls, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and partnering with operations to improve financial performance and decision-making. The CFO will also manage key external relationships with banks, auditors, and financial advisors, and provide leadership oversight of the Human Resources, Safety, and Risk Management functions.
This role reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the Chairman, Partners, and executive leadership team to support business strategy and execution.
Qualifications
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and financial operations within a mid-sized or multi-site business
- Strong proficiency in financial reporting, financial statements, and internal controls
- Deep understanding of accounting and finance principles, including cash flow and working capital management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and support decision-making
- Proven leadership experience in a hands-on finance role (Controller, VP Finance, or CFO)
- Experience operating in a founder-led, high-accountability, or build-oriented environment preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) or similar accounting systems is a plus
