The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Security Guard. The Security Guard will have a strong focus on professionalism and site security. Responsibilities/Duties
- Administer building security access control procedures for all visitors
- Conduct monitoring utilizing CCTV, walking patrols and building management systems
- Secure all exterior entry and exit points
- Conduct good energy conservation practices such as turning off lights
- Check for proper operation of vital equipment, various other systems and lighting operations
- Check for alarms, hazards, spills, floods, and record any abnormal conditions
- Receive and assist local emergency personnel
- Monitor 24 hour research operations and initiate appropriate responses to mitigate research/equipment facility loss
- Maintain daily logs and records
- Participate in emergency drills
- And other duties as assigned
- Clear background investigation.
- Clear driver’s license and have reliable transportation to work
- High level uniformed security professionalism
- Maintenance Documentation completion and filing
- Customer Service Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and familiar with CMMS
- Excellent Organizational skills
- Sufficient experience and knowledge of uniformed guard services
- High School diploma or GED equivalent, with two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration and HVAC.
- OSHA certified and trained in the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
- Shall be proficient in brazing and soldering techniques
- Salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and certifications.
- Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government.
