Job Description
The Bug Company is seeking a Production Team Member to join our production team. This full-time, on-site role involves caring for and feeding live insects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment. This is not a remote position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the health and environment of insect populations daily.
- Feedings and watering insects daily
- Set up, clean, and maintain rearing facilities and equipment.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure habitats are secure and stable.
- Follow all safety guidelines for handling insects and equipment.
Requirements
- Reliability in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional, cooperative attitude with colleagues and supervisors.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and take on additional responsibilities.
- Comfortable working in dusty, hot, and humid environments.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, and standing.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Basic math skills (including counting to 100).
- Skilled with tools such as box cutters and tape guns.
- Must be willing and able to handle live insects directly.
Schedule
- Sunday - Thursday | 7:30 am - 5:00 pm or
- Sunday | 7:00 am - 3:30 & Monday - Thursday | 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
- Dsays/Hours may vary depending on company needs and shipping schedules.
