- Lead Project Execution: Oversee daily operations of large-scale landscape construction projects, starting with a 4.5-acre mixed-use development site featuring walking trails, water features, and retail spaces.
- Manage Crews and Subcontractors: Direct and motivate a fluctuating workforce of 5–50 team members, including subcontractors for hydro-seeding, mulch blowing, and irrigation installation, ensuring all teams meet project objectives.
- Technical Implementation: Expertly read and interpret blueprints and scaled drawings to execute complex layouts accurately.
- Irrigation and Planting: Manage installation of irrigation systems (calculating pressure drops and linear footage) and oversee bed preparation, soil amendments, tilling, and the installation of trees, shrubs, and plantings.
- Proactive Planning: Schedule projects, coordinate material orders, and ensure timelines are met.
- Hands-On Leadership: Maintain a “boots on the ground” presence; actively participate in manual labor—digging, planting, or irrigation work—during critical periods to ensure project success.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in landscape construction, irrigation, or a related field; looking for a “plug and play” professional.
- Technical Expertise: Strong ability to read blueprints/scaled drawings, deep knowledge of irrigation systems, and plant identification.
- Work Ethic: Must possess a “boots on the ground” mentality; willingness to perform manual labor is required.
- Licensing: Contractor’s License or Irrigation License highly desired but not required; willingness to pursue certifications is essential.
- Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel within a 1.5-hour radius as projects expand into new markets.
