What are the responsibilities and job description for the Implementation Manager position at The Budd Group?
Are you ready to take the controls in the tower?
The Budd Group is looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented Implementation Manager to join our growing Center of Excellence! Think of yourself as an Air Traffic Controller for our new business; your mission is to ensure every new account "takes off" smoothly and "lands" successfully with zero interruptions to the customer. We aren't just starting accounts; we are building long-term excellence through intentional support and continuous improvement. If you love a job where no two days are the same, and you enjoy the "view from the clouds" (and the occasional hotel lounge), you’ll fit right in. Warning: Must be comfortable with high-fives and the occasional "plan-it-like-a-pro" victory dance!
Implementation Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Lead Project Startups: Orchestrate the end-to-end implementation of new business accounts, ensuring a turnkey operation is delivered to the regional operations team.
-
Facilitate Communication: Lead weekly coordination meetings with local operations teams, equipment vendors, and public/private stakeholders to keep all "planes" on schedule.
-
Optimize Operations: Analyze and develop specific job routines and cleaning schedules tailored to each unique account.
-
Manage Resources: Oversee the ordering, receiving, and placement of equipment and supplies required for account launches.
-
Support & Train: Collaborate with the training department to ensure frontline staff and managers are fully equipped and educated on new site protocols.
-
Continuous Improvement: Remain connected to new accounts for the first 365 days, performing quarterly site visits and "retooling" existing accounts during slower periods to maintain peak performance.
-
Influence Excellence: Act as a consultant to regional leadership, using tact and data to influence the best operational decisions rather than simply "commanding" them.
Implementation Manager Requirements:
-
Exceptional Organization: Must be a "SmartSheet wizard" or a master of logistics who can prioritize shifting tasks in a fast-paced environment.
-
High-Level Communication: Ability to serve as the face of The Budd Group to new, high-paying customers and internal stakeholders.
-
Travel Readiness: Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%–90% across the company footprint (including key hubs like Charlotte, Nashville, and Richmond).
-
Stress Management: Proven ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, especially during short-runway project launches.
-
Internal Candidates Preferred: Strong knowledge of The Budd Group’s internal systems, people, and culture is a significant plus.
-
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours (typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) with the availability for occasional weekend work based on project go-live dates.
Implementation Manager Benefits:
-
Performance Bonuses: Quarterly bonus potential of up to 5% of your base salary based on KPI achievement.
-
Vehicle Allowance: Monthly vehicle allowance paid out bi-weekly.
-
Travel Perks: Keep all your travel rewards and points for personal use—turn your work trips into your next vacation!
-
Mentorship: Direct reporting line to a 20-year industry veteran committed to your professional growth and journey within the company.
