What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant/Housekeeper position at The Broadway Hotel?
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Laundry Attendant/Housekeeper. We need someone to at a minimum cover two 3-11pm shifts in laundry a week with the availability to cover more shifts as needed. This is a full time position with 2 or 3 days in laundry a week and 3 or 2 days a week likely in housekeeping. Applicants should have availablitlity to work an 8 hour shift between the hours of 7am-11pm to be considered. Some shifts may be 3-11pm and some shifts may be during morning hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial washers and dryers to clean hotel linens and towels
- Fold and sort clean laundry and restock housekeeping shelves
- Ensure laundry area remains clean and organized
- Treat, rewash, and inspect stained linen.
- Monitor chemical levels and report any machine malfunctions
- Follow all hotel policies and safety procedures
Qualifications:
- Prior laundry or housekeeping experience preferred, but not required
- Reliable and self-motivated, able to work independently overnight
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Flexible availability is a plus
