Location: On-site 3 days/week in Salisbury/Mooresville, NC
The System Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting the deployment of hardware, software, and systems infrastructure solutions across enterprise environments. This role partners with engineering, product, QA, and business teams to deliver configuration changes, deployment activities, and operational improvements while ensuring system stability and successful production implementation. The position supports moderate-complexity projects with a focus on deployment execution, POS environments, integrations, and operational readiness.
- 3 years of POS deployment experience with Client POS EX 2.0 or Client POS Emerald 1.0.
- SQL.
- Batch scripting.
- Lead deployment and rollout activities for hardware, software, and infrastructure implementations.
- Translate business requirements into agile stories or waterfall-based functional requirements.
- Partner with Solution Engineers to develop technical specifications aligned to business outcomes.
- Support QA teams by building and validating test cases, matrices, and deployment readiness activities.
- Execute system unit reviews and coordinate solution turnover processes into QA and production environments.
- Manage standard to complex configuration changes and operational updates across assigned systems and applications.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Developers, Product Teams, and Suppliers on integrations, design improvements, and deployment patterns.
- Independently manage small to medium deployment projects with limited supervision.
- Monitor system performance and support troubleshooting within lab and production environments.
- Maintain deployment documentation, engineering instructions, technical diagrams, and installation design packages.
