Recovery Support Specialist

What You’ll Do

  • Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and trauma-informed space for all clients.
  • Support a caseload of up to 50 consumers with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
  • Complete needs assessments and partner with clients to develop individualized recovery plans.
  • Provide monthly face-to-face support to check progress, offer encouragement, and identify needs.
  • Deliver peer counseling that inspires hope, builds resilience, and strengthens relapse-prevention skills.
  • Coordinate essential services such as healthcare, housing, transportation, education, and more.
  • Collaborate with a passionate team through weekly staffings and shared problem-solving.
  • Accurately document client interactions in their Electronic Health Record.
  • Assist clients with transportation using your personal vehicle when needed.



What You Bring

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with 2 years of related experience.
  • A passion for helping others achieve independence.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong communication skills and a respectful, culturally aware approach.
  • Flexibility to participate in on-call rotation.



Bonus points if you have:

  • Personal recovery experience (we value lived expertise).
  • Knowledge of social service and human service networks.
