As a Finance Support Specialist, you’ll play a key role in helping clients by ensuring accurate billing, insurance processing, and financial support services that allow our programs to run smoothly and effectively.
This role is a full-time position. Compensation is competitive, ranging from $20 to $23 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities of a Finance Support Specialist:
- Understand and utilize the agency’s EHR system, Credible, to process insurance claims and invoices electronically.
- Manage billing & collections: process payments, set up payment plans, and assist with outstanding balances.
- Verify insurance benefits, process claims, and resolve issues with insurance companies.
- Maintain accuracy of patient accounts, resolve discrepancies, and protect patient confidentiality.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and insurance companies to resolve billing disputes.
- Complete timely financial and account reports.
- Support the Director of Finance with accounts payable and receivables.
- Determine patient financial responsibilities including deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance.
- Communicate with patients regarding appointments, instructions, and pre-collection requirements.
- Coordinate with front desk and healthcare teams to ensure smooth processes.
- Compile and maintain provider and agency credentialing and re-credentialing applications.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance and Operations.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Previous experience in medical billing, insurance, or healthcare finance preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance plans, billing procedures, and financial processes.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and account management.
- Ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and insurance companies.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Available to Both Part-Time & Full-Time Employees:
- Competitive hourly wage: $20–$23 per hour
