What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Relations Director, Food and Beverage Team position at The Brand Guild?
The Food and Beverage Team at The Brand Guild works with some of the most iconic F&B brands in the country. Our team is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Public Relations Director or Senior Director - someone with a deep understanding and love of food and lifestyle brands - to serve as the day-to-day lead and thought partner for a portfolio for some of the most exciting brands in the country. Our ideal candidate is someone who has a minimum of 8 years of industry-specific PR agency experience, and wants to grow with us. Note: This position is based in The Brand Guild’s NYC office with 3 days/week in-office.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop and drive integrated communications strategy for a range of clients in the F&B/lifestyle space, securing meaningful coverage that builds awareness and encourages engagement
- Identify and ideate brand partnerships to elevate storytelling and earned reach
- Lead proactive media outreach and relationship building efforts to secure high-impact coverage across national, regional and trade outlets
- Analyze media performance and share clear, actionable insights to guide planning
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing and Events teams to amplify storytelling
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of smart, savvy and dedicated PR professionals, fostering a culture of creativity and results
What You Bring:
- 8 years of public relations agency experience specializing food and beverage (CPG experience a plus)
- Strong relationships with key industry press
- A love of news, strong media relationships and a comprehensive understanding of the media cycle and media’s needs
- Relationships that will help create brand partnerships and move them forward
- Extensive experience managing multiple client accounts and direct reports
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as organizational and planning skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and clients and meet deadlines in an agency environment
