Service Writer
Description:
Looking to fill a Full-Time Automotive Service Advisor Position at a 5-star independent shop. Our ideal Service Advisor will take on the responsibilities of day-to-day operations of the shop in order to provide customers the best experience possible while acting as a liaison between our customers and service technicians to increase efficiency and workflow within the shop. We are a rapidly growing business looking for a dedicated and personable new hire to continue our dedication to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
· Greet customers
· Listen to customers to learn more about vehicle history, potential problems and the services they would like to receive
· Enter customer information and repair concern into computer database
· Assign vehicles to automotive technicians
· Clearly communicate automotive repair issues and repairs needed to both customers and technicians
· Oversee daily work of employees
· Generate timelines and estimates for repairs and discussing options with customers
· Explain all services options to customers, including time and estimates
· Assist customers on warranty protections and other potential cost-saving service options
· Track maintenance or repair status, fill out reports on labor and cost of all services
· Go over the Multiple-Point Inspection with customers and answer any questions they may have
· Maintain accurate records relating to clients, their vehicles, parts, and service history
· Ring up customers at front desk and facilitate financial transactions
· Manage shop workflow
· Ensure that all deadlines are met
· Order supplies
· Perform customer service duties, including but not limited to: answering phones, text messages, emails, schedule services appointments, calling customers to inform them of their vehicle’s repair status, and advising customers when vehicles are ready for pick up
Preferred:
· Knowledge of Mitchell
· Strong organizational, decision making, and problem-solving skills
· Work history of adaptability to communicate with technicians, customers, and management
· A strong understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry
· An interest to grow with an ever developing business

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
