Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give correct change while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food handling surfaces to meet food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any questions or special requests.
- Assist in food preparation and food service tasks to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly without sacrificing quality or safety standards.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with beverage service techniques and non-alcoholic drink preparation.
- Experience with retail sales transactions using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate transaction processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and work efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in cleaning and food safety protocols.
